It is my pleasure to present to you our project, created by our Foundation, which was created with the main idea to promote healthy development and rational use of Traditional Chinese Medicine, considering that it will be of great benefit to Costa Rica, Central America, and the entire world.

Thanks to the great work and effort of the distinguished Medical Body of Costa Rica and to the understanding and support of the Government of our country, the legal platform on the practice of acupuncture in Costa Rica, being an important part of Traditional Chinese Medicine, has been regulated from 1994 by means of Decree # 23105-S and was published in the official newspaper. La Gaceta #76, 21 of April 1994, recognizing acupuncture as a Medical Specialty..

Within the objectives of the Foundation the guideline is noticeable on the integration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Modern Medicine (Western), to continue creating a new medical and therapeutic system that performs a special function in the improvement of diagnoses and treatments. The integration of both medicines has before itself a possibility of superb development and without precedent, which allows us to continue contributing to the development of the same.

The Foundation, by means of respective agreements of collaboration, will regulate the preparation of doctor-scientist professionals, with the same rigor and guarantee that distinguish the Superior Traditional Chinese Medical Schools already recognized in the world. This, in turn, will result in specialists in the field that will help the general population with better care.

Without a doubt our mission is based on offering another alternative to the world population in medicine oriented on excellence and quality that it deserves.
